Job Summary

The GMA Pallet Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting repairing and rebuilding pallets with exceptional consistency and attention to detail ensuring all pallets meet company quality standards. This role performs a variety of assembly-line repair tasksfrom identifying and correcting damage replacing or reinforcing boards to ensuring all completed pallets are clean safe and ready for use. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily production goals and maintaining smooth operations within the facility.

What Youll Be Doing

As a GMA Pallet Repair Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting pallets for damage wear and structural issues; determining the appropriate level of repair
  • Performing repairs with precision to ensure consistent high-quality results
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools to remove replace or reinforce pallet boards and components
  • Meeting or exceeding daily production targets
  • Identifying and understanding the different types and grades of pallets
  • Conducting final evaluations of completed pallets to ensure they meet PLA quality standards
  • Operating and maintaining hand tools power tools and repair equipment
  • Inspecting equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Adjusting or calibrating equipment settings as required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workstation; following all safety protocols
  • Escalating technical or process issues to leadership promptly
  • Partnering effectively with facility staff to support smooth operations
  • Performing other duties as assigned
What Were Looking For
  • Experience in pallet repair woodworking carpentry construction or other hands-on labor roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools power tools or saws including safe operation and basic upkeep.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production or assembly-line environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to identify pallet damage defects and material inconsistencies.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures production standards and quality expectations.
  • Willingness to learn repair techniques production processes and company procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic in a team-driven environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education training and hands-on experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to safely lift carry push and pull materials repeatedly as required by the role which may include pallets lumber and repair materials.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending stooping reaching gripping hammering and handling tools throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work in a high-energy production setting.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools with good manual dexterity coordination and strength.
  • Comfortable working in conditions that may include varying temperatures dust noise and moving equipment.
  • Ability to hear verbal instructions safety signals alarms and equipment sounds in an active warehouse environment.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to safely inspect pallets and operate tools.
  • Ability to remain alert and safety-focused while working around forklifts repair stations and material handling operations.
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold) and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
