Global Security Senior Manager, Executive Protection

The Protective Services team at Apple manages the security of our most valuable asset: our people. As one of the most closely watched companies in the world Apple has security needs that are broad and unique. This group develops solutions for issues across our global Executive Protection Talent Protection and Event Security functions.

This candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Executive Protection Specialists tasked with performing all aspects of protective operations globally. This person must be able to lead and operate within a small team environment and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated individuals and assets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading teams in the protective operations space providing discrete protective services maintaining strict confidentiality and must possess seasoned communication skills.

Lead day to day executive security operations for a team primarily located in mentor and grow an established team of Executive Protection be able to communicate effectively with and influence all levels of and foster relationships with key business units senior executives and their support regularly with cross-functional partners internal business units and various service providers and security related duties including but not limited to executive protection secure transportation safety/emergency planning risk assessments special event planning strategies through a holistic approach to security to anticipate identify and mitigate with planning organizing and executing discrete executive protection in being able to quickly collect analyze and disseminate information in a timely to work under stressful conditions and often times in ambiguous environments. Calm under frequently often on short notice including conducts advance operations and develops implements and audits internally/externally developed security on-call for emergencies and must be adaptable to constantly changing schedules which may include weekends and be able to work with highly confidential duties as required.

A minimum of 15 years professional experience in executive protection law enforcement or military special operations is required. At least 5 years of corporate EP leadership experience is required. Tech sector leadership experience is highly understand and have demonstrated experience in protection concepts to include protective intelligence secure transportation contingency planning counter surveillance and have experience in international and domestic possess strong written and verbal communication skills collaborative abilities and attention to knowledge of physical security systems to include but not limited to intrusion detection systems CCTV and other security related software/ be self-motivated able to work without direct supervision and understand security concepts and theories. Adept at identifying and managing vendors for concurrent projects have exceptional organizational time management and problem solving be in good physical condition and capable of sitting standing and walking for extended periods of be capable of hiking/backpacking for several miles at a time in austere environments.

Bachelors have strong computer skills and be proficient in the development and presentation of Keynote medical training advanced medical training and certifications are a plus.
