Nemours is seeking a Ginsburg Institute Program Manager to work out of our Orlando FL location.

Primary Functions:

The mission of the Ginsburg Institute is to partner with community to ensure every child has an opportunity to thrive by addressing underlying social factors of health and working to eliminate health disparities through community engagement research and innovative collaboration with partners.

The goals of the Program Manager are to support the mission goals and strategic initiatives of the Ginsburg Institute at Nemours Childrens Health Orlando. The Program Manager reporting to the Vice President of the Ginsburg Institutesupports a wide range of research and community programs events and funding opportunities to advance childrens health in central Florida.


Specific areas of responsibility include strategic planning strategic program development knowledge management and management of strategic initiatives partnerships programs measurement and program evaluation.

Essential Functions:

  1. Support the Executive Director to execute the Ginsburg Institute strategic plan across Nemours Childrens Health Orlando.

  2. Determine and develop plans for achieving long and short-term goals for programs and projects.

  3. Establish methods to track the success of the Ginsburg Institute initiatives and analyze key metrics and analytics.

  4. Responsible for overseeing the administration and monitoring of multiple programs including the Ginsburg Institute Scholars internal and external grants Ginsburg Summer Camp Experience and Nemours Tuition Remission as well as providing Community Advisory Board support.

  5. Develop and manage a detailed work plan to monitor various programs projects and initiatives.

  6. Support the development and operations of theCommunity Advisory Board.

  7. Manage daily work of Program Coordinators and ensure deliverables are accomplished according to project plan.

  8. Support leadership in publications includingpreparing abstracts & submissions developing PowerPoints and writing literature reviews and citations for professional papers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Public Health Education Social Work or a related field required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management preferably in early childhood public health or community development.
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning Lean and/or agile methodologies.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience managing cross-functional or inter-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key issues related to workforce representation population health disparities and research addressing gaps in care and outcomes change management large group educational design and facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and/or program teams. Ability to set up plan manage report and communicate projects and direct the completion of projects within proper scope budget and schedule.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software packages.
