Job Summary

Key Account Manager German OEMs

Location: Auburn Hills MI on site
Comp: Base $% annual bonus

A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a Key Account Manager to take ownership of major German OEM programs in North America. You will own and develop relationships with key German customers acting as the primary commercial interface and driving profitable sales growth.

What youll do

  • Manage and grow key accounts with leading German OEMs (e.g. Mercedes-Benz BMW VW Group Volvo etc.)
  • Serve as primary commercial contact for assigned OEM customers in North America
  • Lead RFQ / quotation activities and negotiate commercial terms (pricing tooling engineering changes etc.)
  • Drive sales growth and margin improvement across assigned business
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (engineering program management operations finance) to support launches and ongoing business
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity across your assigned OEMs
  • Contribute to long-term account strategy planning and budgeting

What were looking for

  • 57 years experience in key account management / sales with German automotive OEMs
  • Proven experience supporting German premium or volume OEMs (any of: Mercedes-Benz BMW VW Group Audi Porsche Volvo etc.)
  • Solid commercial skills: RFQs negotiations long-term agreements cost reduction activities
  • Comfortable working with OEM purchasing engineering and program teams
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; able to understand cost structures and margin impact
  • Self-driven able to manage complex customer demands and internal stakeholders
  • German language skills are a plus but not required

Work setup

  • Auburn Hillsarea office-based role

Compensation

  • Base salary in the $130000 range (depending on experience)
  • Target bonus around 15% of base salary
