Worth Rises is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to dismantling the prison industry and ending the exploitation of those it touches. Partnering with directly impacted people we work to expose the commercialization of the criminal legal system and advocate and organize to protect the economic resources extracted from affected communities and strip the industry of its power. Through our work we strive to pave a road toward a safe and just world free of police and prisons.

What Were Looking For:
We look for people who:

Have a developed understanding of the criminal legal system and strong interest in understanding the role of the prison industry.
Take initiative and excel in high autonomy environments with minimal oversight.
Have a strong practice of personal and community accountability.
Are personally driven by purpose and mission.
Have strong oral and written communication skills.
Have a regular and disciplined practice of active listening and seeking clarification.
Have genuine commitment to our organizational values: act with integrity focus on impact deliver excellence get it done and operate with intellectual curiosity (visit based in the United States (we are remote-first workplace).

Please note that this pool is for full-time employment only we are not looking for part-time project-based or contract staff. We are also unlikely to move forward candidates who are currently freelancing. While we appreciate that some candidates may be looking to move to full-time work we are looking for candidates who have recently worked within an organization. Finally we are also unlikely to move forward candidates who intend to run their own businesses or organizations alongside this work.
