Heywood Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to provide per diem/locum weekday call coverage. This flexible opportunity is ideal for surgeons looking to supplement their practice while supporting a collaborative community-focused surgical team.

• Weekday call coverage
• Supportive and experienced surgical team
• Well-established community hospital
• Competitive daily and call compensation
• Flexible scheduling based on availability
• Efficient OR staff and strong anesthesia support

• Provide weekday general surgery call coverage
• Evaluate and manage emergency surgical consults
• Perform emergency and urgent surgical procedures as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine Hospital Medicine and specialty providers
• Ensure timely documentation and continuity of patient care

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
• DEA certification
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Experience in community hospital practice preferred
