General Maintenance Worker

$18.57 per hour Full-time

Responsible for duties involving general maintenance and repairs of
equipment and buildings assisting with technical trades such as plumbing electrical painting and carpentry in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives

What you will do

• Perform maintenance and repair of structures electrical systems heating plumbing ventilating air conditioning and drainage systems. Recommend contracted assistance when on-site repair is not possible.
• Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures outlets and fuses as directed.
• Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.
• Install window shades or coverings security locks etc.
• Perform repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures washers seals etc.
• Help prepare surfaces for finishing i.e. painting as directed.
• Coordinating the work of detainees assigned to facility maintenance if applicable.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks of buildings and equipment.
• Perform routine schedules checks of air conditioning systems.
• Requires long periods of walking and standing.

What you will need

• High school diploma or GED technical training and general knowledge of repair and maintenance two (2)
  years of maintenance experience required
• US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required.
• Must successfully complete required preservice training.
• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record required unless waived by management.
