The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of clinical laboratory operations at City of Hope Goodyear Hospital. This position supervises Medical Technologists Laboratory Assistants and support staff while ensuring the delivery of accurate timely and high-quality laboratory services. The supervisor oversees operations across multiple laboratory disciplines including Blood Bank Chemistry Hematology Coagulation Urinalysis Molecular Diagnostics Specimen Processing and Reference Laboratory Send-Out Testing. The Laboratory Supervisor serves as a technical and operational resource for laboratory staff promotes regulatory compliance supports quality initiatives and collaborates with laboratory leadership medical directors nursing and other healthcare providers to ensure exceptional patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Clinical Laboratory Science or related biological science.

• Current ASCP certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent certification.

• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or acute care setting.

• Minimum of two (3) years of progressive leadership lead technologist or supervisory experience preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in a healthcare laboratory or business-related field.

• Previous supervisory experience overseeing multiple laboratory disciplines.

• Experience with hospital laboratory information systems (LIS) and Epic Beaker.

• Experience supporting CAP CLIA AABB and Joint Commission inspections.
