Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting production processes by peeling product packing chubs loading product for slicing weighing and sorting product line feeding packaging product palletizing finished product and performing other duties as assigned by management.
- Peel product and prepare materials for production processes.
- Pack chubs and prepare product for further processing.
- Load product for slicing and assist with line feeding activities.
- Weigh sort inspect and package product according to production standards.
- Place finished product onto pallets for storage or shipment.
- Rotate through assigned workstations and production tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety food safety Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality requirements.
- Complete all required job training and participate in ongoing training as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime weekends and any assigned shift as needed.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be willing and able to comply with all safety food safety GMP and quality requirements.
- Must be willing and able to complete all required training.
- Must be willing and able to rotate through assigned production positions when applicable.
- Must be dependable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be willing and able to perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Physical demands vary by assignment but may include repetitive lifting pushing pulling carrying reaching bending twisting and handling product weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the shift.
- Must be willing and able to perform work with hands and arms below waist level at shoulder level and above shoulder level.
- Must be willing and able to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to work in temperatures of 35F or below for the duration of the shift.
- Must be willing and able to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Must be willing and able to bend twist reach grasp and stoop frequently throughout the shift.
