What impact youll make:

As a Quality Specialist with the Global Supply Chain Materials Quality team you will be an active contributor to help drive GE Vernova Gas Power to a zero-defect framework with preventative quality projects aligned to our largest Finished Goods Distribution Center.

What youll do (Job Responsibilities)

• Data driven analysis to correct packaging improvements for top non-conforming suppliers / material types
• Cycle Count and Inspect inventory leading to correction / containment of conforming versus non-conforming material for improved systemic accuracy and reduction of customer escaping defects
• Create and expand digital parts visual database for augmented picking technology

What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Current enrollment in undergrad or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Industrial Engineering Business or Supply Chain.

Strong communication problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Basic knowledge / understanding of quality systems Lean principles corrective action processes and nonconformance management

Experience with Oracle and SAP ERP systems a plus

What will make you stand out (Desired Qualifications)

• Experience in laboratory QA/QC environment or interpreting

Engineered CAD drawings / specs

• Quality certifications: ISO 9001:2015 AS9100 IATF 16949 or similar
• Degree focus in Quality Sciences (Materials Chemistry etc...) Supply Chain Engineering Business Operations or related field

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Manual - able to lift 40 pounds / 80 pounds tandem
• Environment - Ambient temperatures ; Walking in large facility with no motorized access
• Safety highly regulated with emphasis on accountability and continuous improvement
