Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Evaluation:Perform hands-on testing of new Distribution Management applications to assess their functionality reliability and integration capabilities within our existing power system environments.
- Test Development:Design and build comprehensivetest casesto validate application performance edge cases and user requirements ensuring all new features meet rigorous quality standards.
- Deployment Feasibility:Analyze software requirements to determine if new applications can be deployed using standard industry tooling specifically leveragingGitOpsprinciples andArgoCDfor automated deployments withinLinux-based environments.
- Quality Assurance & Debugging:Actively stress test new products by identifying documenting and tracking bugs. You will work closely with development teams to verify fixes and ensure a seamless end-user experience.
- Technical Documentation:Translate complex software features into user-friendly training materials including technical guides how-to videos and internal knowledge-base articles to assist grid operators and engineers.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Fundamental understanding of electric power distribution systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for software quality.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Technical Skills & Tooling:
- Operating Systems:Proficiency inLinux(command-line navigation shell scripting and system troubleshooting).
- Programming:Proficiency or strong interest inC#.
- CI/CD & DevOps:Familiarity withJenkinsfor continuous integration and pipeline automation.
- Artifact Management:Experience withNexusfor managing software components and dependencies.
- Deployment:Exposure to or willingness to learnGitOpsworkflows andArgoCDfor Kubernetes-native deployment management.

Employment Dates: May 2027-August 2027
The pay range for this position is $1000-$2000 USD weekly. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable proper and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Interns permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
