Job Summary
Job Description
We are looking for aGDPS Consultant who has implemented a GDPS solution and is skilled and experienced to guide instruct train and educate clients and actually Lead a GDPS engagement. Our customers are inexperienced with GDPS and will look to the candidates as Experts in the GDPS technologies and the features and functionalities the implementation and customization of the product GDPS as well as education and training.
GDPS skilled consultants who has following skills:
- DASD
DSCLI understanding
DSCLI Scripting
carving a DS8K with pools LSSs and Volumes
Starting replication between sites- spreading across the IBM power devices within the DS8K
resiliency on the DS8K - spreading connections so that all replication is not on one set of ports or cards within one I/O compartment for redundancy
- z/OS
PARMLIB changes
PROCLIB changes
CLIST and RACF updates and changes per customer requirements - DORA FFIEC and NIST compliance is required with our product put into net-new LPARs
minor updates throughout the sysplex
sysplexing and how it is required for Metro Mirror and hyperswap capabilities.
- NetView and System Automation (zSA)
standing up netviews from a blank slate
editing each netview environment for either Metro Mirror or Global mirror within the DSIPARM and STGEN members
REXX coding specifics for customer requirements.
Policy Data Base (PDB) creation and management. Creating a PDB that GDPS requires to function properly with the required automation operators that are needed
dual control and required security parameters - including focusing on the initial commands each has to avoid outages like a major client incurred last fall.
- GDPS Training and Education
Provide extensive training to various client teams management operations etc. Train extensively on the GDPS product the functionality and the customization in the clients unique environment.
