Evans Army Community Hospital is a state-of-the-art military medical center serving the Fort Carson community including active-duty service members retirees and their families. As part of the Defense Health Agency Evans ACH delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across a wide range of specialties including primary care surgery radiology gastroenterology physical therapy behavioral health and womens services. Responsibilities
- Assist with routine endoscopic procedures including EGD colonoscopy ERCP pH/manometry testing hydrogen breath analysis liver biopsies and PEG/PEG-J placement
- Assist with emergency GI procedures including GI bleeds food obstructions and foreign body obstructions
- Screen check in and escort patients to treatment areas; prepare rooms and patients for examinations
- Take monitor and record physiological measurements; triage urgent needs
- Prepare and administer medications under supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider
- Assemble maintain clean disinfect and operate medical and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain training and certification for High-Level Disinfection (HLD) of endoscopic equipment
- Monitor patients receiving moderate/conscious sedation including cardiac monitoring respiratory status and hemodynamic stability
- Document all patient care activities accurately within the electronic medical record; maintain supply inventory
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES; or certification through AAMA (CMA) or AMT (RMA); or equivalent military training.
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of bedside hospital experience within the past 24 months.
- Certifications: BLS required.
- Licensure: N/A (non-credentialed position).
- U.S. Citizenship required

Monday Friday 8-hour shifts between . Starting times may vary based on clinic needs.
