Are you currently completing your student teaching and preparing to begin your career as an educator

Montgomery County Public Schools (VA) invites current student teachers and teacher preparation candidates to apply for an interview with one of our school administrators for anticipated full-time teaching opportunities for the school year.

Our Student Teacher Recruitment event will be held on

Saturday November 7 2026 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

We encourage applications from candidates who:

• Are currently completing student teaching or a teacher preparation program;
• Anticipate completing their program before the beginning of the school year;
• Are eligible for or anticipate becoming eligible for a Virginia teaching license;
• Are passionate about helping students learn and succeed;
• Value collaboration with students families colleagues and the school community; and
• Are excited to begin their teaching career with MCPS.

Please note: If you are not a current student teacher but interested in teaching opportunities with MCPS (VA) during the 2027-2028 school year we will be posting for those positions soon. Please watch our website for postings that may be of interest to you.

We anticipate opportunities across a variety of schools grade levels and endorsement areas for the school year.
