Job Summary

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking an experienced and compassionate Funeral Director to join our team at San Jacinto Funeral Home in Houston Texas. This is an opportunity for a professional who takes pride in serving families takes initiative without being asked follows through on commitments and can confidently manage the many details involved in funeral service.


What Youll Do

  • Serve as a trusted source of support guidance and direction for families before during and after the loss of a loved one.
  • Take ownership of arrangements and coordinate the details necessary to provide a meaningful seamless experience for each family.
  • Coordinate assist with and carry out all aspects of funeral services visitations ceremonies burials cremations and final memorialization.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families clergy cemeteries crematories vendors and other service partners.
  • Anticipate needs identify potential issues and take initiative to resolve them before they affect the family or service.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure arrangements are completed thoroughly and on schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with the funeral home team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Adhere to all applicable professional municipal state and federal laws regulations licensing requirements and funeral service standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of care professionalism confidentiality and respect for the deceased and their families.


What Were Looking For

  • The ideal candidate is more than someone who holds a funeral director license. We are looking for a dependable professional who can be trusted to follow through take ownership and step up when needed.
  • Licensed Funeral Director in Texas or eligible for Texas reciprocity.
  • Previous funeral service experience strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while confidently handling responsibilities independently.
