Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Denton Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where youll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills.

  • 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  • No weekends or on-call
Requirements
  • Current Texas Medical Board (MRT)General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable)
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • Current CPR certification (preferred)
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity review physician orders and obtain appropriate patient history.
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort safety and image quality.
  • Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
  • Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards infection control policies HIPAA OSHA and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists referring providers and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
  • Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available.
  • Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy outpatient environment
  • Interest in expanding skills through cross-training is encouraged
