Position Overview
The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe engaging and developmentally appropriate classroom environment where children ages 18-36 months can learn grow and thrive.
This role includes classroom leadership lesson planning mentoring support staff maintaining strong parent communication and fostering a positive classroom culture learning and play-based education.
Our Lead Teachers are nurturing organized dependable and passionate about early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging weekly lesson plans and classroom activities
- Create a warm safe and stimulating learning environment
- Lead classroom routines transitions and daily schedules
- Maintain positive communication with families through Playground App and daily interactions
- Support childrens social emotional and developmental growth
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and support staff
- Maintain classroom organization cleanliness and supplies
- Participate in trainings meetings school events and professional development
- Support school-wide initiatives policies and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with leadership and fellow educators
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience in childcare preschool or early childhood education preferred
- Degree or coursework in Child Development Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain a positive organized and professional classroom environment
- Passion for working with children and making a difference
- Reliable transportation required

Full-Time

Business Hours: 8:30-5:30
Pay:$15.00$17.00 per hour
(Pay based on experience education and qualifications)
