Job Description:

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Testing Specialist position in the Economic Development division. This position is located at both Atlanta Techs Main and South campuses located just south of Downtown Atlanta.

Under the general supervision of the Testing Center Coordinator the Full-Time Testing Specialist will be responsible for providing testing and training services to customers and maintains necessary certification and/or licenses. This position will also be responsible for coordinating logistics for sessions; ensuring that the facility area is scheduled and all equipment is prepared as needed. The Full-Time Testing Specialist oversees the installation maintenance and upgrades of software computer system; researches and analyzes program/ operation data; generates regular and hoc statistical and information reports to supervisors and all pertinent staff; and maintains budget records for the program and assists in monitoring expenditures.

Duties and responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Proctor various academic distance learning and nationally recognized college exams to ensure test security.
  • Create and maintain assessment database.
  • Perform data entry of students scores into appropriate student database system.
  • Maintain appropriate test administrator certifications.
  • Oversee exam software installation maintenance and upgrades.
  • Register students for academic based exams.
  • Monitor daily exam schedule.
  • Maintain exam files.
  • Prepare and send correspondence to other colleges instructors and testing agents.
  • Communicate exam scores to test examinees.
  • Advises students on test scores next steps and registration.
  • Develop assessment training materials; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of various assessments and testing workstations; including Accuplacer Pearson Vue HiSET CLEP Comira Grace Professional HESI Kryterion NCCT PSB TEAS Georgia Pest Control etc.
  • Utilize good problem-solving and decision-making skills and maintain confidentiality about test and examinees.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Oral written and organizational skills
  • Skill in operation of computers and job-related software programs.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and dealing with the public.
  • Ability to provide instruction on use of equipment or processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate an Associates degree AND three (3) years of work-related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who in addition to meeting the minimum requirements possess and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Register Blast Software.
