Full Time Firefighter/EMT

TheCity of Warrensburg Missouriis accepting applications for Full Time Firefighter/E.M.T. unique opportunity will provide the ideal candidate a chance to join one of the leading fire departments in the state. Currently working 48 hours on duty and 96 hours off duty our work schedule is built to provide a healthy work life balance. The starting hourly wage range for Firefighter/EMT is currently $15.20 per hour (44262.00 annually) depending upon qualifications. The applicant must be certified as an IFSAC/Pro Board Firefighter I and II (Missouri reciprocity required) IFSAC/Pro Board Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations (Missouri reciprocity required) NIMS 00m Missouri EMT-B or higher and possess a C.P.A.T. (Candidate Physical Ability Test) certificate less than two years old at the time of hire. Firefighter/EMTs can be eligible for promotion to Firefighter Specialist in as little as two years and successful completion of additional training and certification.

Applicants must complete an application a written employment test an interview with a board and a reference check. A conditional letter of employment will be extended to the passing applicant. The conditions of employment include passing a background check physical (employers expense) and the C.P.A.T. (Candidate Physical Ability Test) a current passing C.P.A.T. certificate or within the last two years from the date of hire. The Department will reimburse up to $150.00 of the cost of the C.P.A.T. after passing the department academy training program. Once hired the department member must live within one hours driving time from Station 1 102 South Holden St. Warrensburg Mo. 64093.
