The Department of Kinesiology at Bethel University (IN) is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty member in Kinesiology starting August 2027. Bethel is an intentionally Christ-centered institution which hires faculty who demonstrate a strong Christian faith.
Teaching and course development responsibilities may include courses in strength and conditioning exercise prescription and programming exercise physiology human performance fitness assessment biomechanics functional anatomy and other areas of exercise science. The candidate will have opportunities to develop and enhance coursework and laboratory experiences that provide students with practical hands-on preparation for careers in strength and conditioning fitness wellness human performance graduate study and other exercise science-related professions.
The successful candidate will also advise students in Exercise Science and other Kinesiology majors mentor students in professional and career development and contribute to experiential learning opportunities. Candidates with experience working with collegiate high school or community-based strength and conditioning programs are especially encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree in Exercise Physiology Exercise Science Kinesiology or closely related field. ABD will be considered for non-tenure track position. Candidates should demonstrate a history of teaching excellence an interest in strong interaction with students a commitment to intercultural learning and engagement.
Preferred Qualifications: CSCS from the NSCA and/or experience with NSCA ACSM or other professional standards preferred. Experience with applied exercise science is highly desirable.
