Position Announcement: Full-time Adjunct in Chemistry
Coe College invites applications for a full-time adjunct in Chemistry beginning January 2027. We seek a teacherscholar who is passionate about undergraduate education and highimpact teaching practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach General Chemistry courses with laboratories and other courses aligned with the candidates area of expertise/interest
- Contribute to departmental assessment
- Hold regular office hours and be responsive to student email questions
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. (preferred; M.S. required) in Chemistry or a closely related field (ABD considered with evidence of timely completion)
- Demonstrated excellenceor clear potentialfor effective studentcentered undergraduate teaching
- Ability to teach general chemistry with associated laboratories
