FSQA Microbiology Technologist

Fresh Mark is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated FSQA Microbiology Technologist to support food safety and environmental monitoring programs. This role is responsible for environmental and microbiological sampling sanitation verification investigations and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.

Location: Salem Ohio (100% on-site)

• Conduct environmental and microbiological sampling according to the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP).
• Collect label document and manage environmental swabs and samples.
• Perform routine testing including pre-operational contact surface air water and compressed air sampling.
• Partner with Production Maintenance and Sanitation teams on root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain environmental monitoring documentation and cleaning schedules.
• Monitor microbiological inventory and testing supplies.
• Support customer regulatory and third-party audits.
• Participate in food safety sanitation microbiology and capital project meetings.

• Degree coursework or experience in Microbiology Food Science Biology Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred.
• Strong investigative analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible schedule with occasional early mornings shift work and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication documentation and organizational skills.
