TheEffector Guidance Electronics (EGE)department develops electronics for weapon system products. We engage at the outset of the weapon system development and follow our designs through deployment. Our products are deployed all over the world from the ground toexoatmosphericenvironments and into space. Weare responsible forthe architecture design and documentation of deliverable FPGA embedded processing at Raytheon.

What You Will Do:

In this role as aFPGAElectricalEngineerII you will develop FPGA designs for all major vendors and device families including AMD Altera and Microchip. Designs commonly support the following applications: gigabit serial interfaces Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Optical (EO) DSP controls data links embedded processing and processor interfaces. Designers collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements architecture modeling of algorithms partitioning code development simulation and place and route. Designs are verified against requirements using both directed tests and constrained random methodologies. Design support is expected from requirements definition through production release. Design documentation and configuration management are required.

Qualification You Must Have:

• Masters in ElectricalEngineer or Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related degree

• Experience or Coursework in Digital Design and HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices

Qualifications We Prefer

• Digital Design Knowledge&Radar/Imageprocessing techniques

• Experience in delivering FPGA solutions to system level applications

• Experience inone or more brands of (Altera LatticeMicrochipAMD)FPGA devicesandassociated tools

• Experience with integration and debugof electronicsusingoscilloscopeslogicanalyzersmultimetersetc.

• Experience with FPGA timing constraints and timing closure

• Experience with digital simulation such as QuestaRivieraProor similar tools

• Experience with Python or C programming

• Image processing techniques for visual and infrared sensors

• Gigabit serial interfaces and multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs)

• Experience with embedded processor and System on a Chip development for FPGA devices

• Familiarity with the Linux environment and commands

• FPGA design experience using a Linux-based development environment highly desired

• Knowledge of git and GitHub

• Knowledge of industry standard interfaces and protocols such as AXI PCIe SPI I2C etc.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
