We are an in-office company and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions
Applied Intuition is redefining vehicle intelligence across commercial and defense sectors. As a Forward Deployed Engineer youll work in small teams and own end-to-end execution of high-impact projects. Youll be the technical bridge between Applied Intuitions technology and our customers real-world operational environments.
This role demands both technical depth and operational excellence. Youll work directly with customers to deploy and integrate Applied Intuitions products while tackling a variety of software engineering infrastructure robotics and systems challenges. Youll have significant ownership over technical and product decisions and work closely with both customers and internal teams to solve difficult problems and deliver impactful solutions.

Work across our entire stack to develop new products features and tools for our customers autonomy development workflows
Tackle a variety of software engineering infrastructure robotics and systems challenges

Collaborate closely with customers engineers and product teams to understand problems and deliver effective solutions

BS/MS degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field graduating December 2026
Proven ability as a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical tools
Designed efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges
Strong programming skills with proficiency in languages such as C or Python
Experience taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and an interest in working directly with customers to solve technical problems
Working knowledge of frontend API layer database ORM containerization or cluster orchestration frameworks (such as React GraphQL SQLAlchemy Docker or Kubernetes)
Experience working with simulation tools modeling physical problems or using robotics middleware (such as ROS)
Experience working with complex software systems infrastructure robotics or hardware
Experience in defense automotive robotics or adjacent industries
