Work Schedule Hours - 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.schedule

Rotating schedule (3 days on 2 days off 2 days on and 3 days off)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe accurate movement of products within the distribution center.

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties Roles and/or Authorities)

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload put away double deep bulk and full pallet pick load replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment including high reach counterbalance electric pallet jack and dock stocker.
• Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site. Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks.
• Follow site safety procedures including required PPE (safety vest safety shoes).
• Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
• Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
• Basic analytical organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.

• The associate may occasionally be required to climb. The job may require lifting over 50lbs in some areas but not all.
• Associate must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE Material Handling Equipment in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

• The noise level is moderate to loud.
• There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment exposure to precarious situations.
• Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
• This role may require a mandatory medical evaluation in compliance with client obligations under applicable occupational health and safety laws.
