Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe accurate movement loading and unloading of products within the distribution centre.

• Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center: unload put away (double deep bulk and full pallet pick) load and replenish.
• Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments using the WMS.
• Operate material handling equipment including high reach counterbalance electric pallet jack and dock stocker.
• Use an RF scanner and the WMS to keep inventory accurate and track products across the site.
• Report discrepancies between inventory counts and shipping/receiving documents.
• Handle pallets safely to prevent damage and protect product integrity.
• Follow site safety procedures including required PPE (safety vest safety shoes).
• Cross-train in other warehouse positions and provide backup during absences or vacations.

Experience

• 2 years of experience as a Stand-Up Reach Operator.
• Slipsheet operation experience.
• Intermediate experience with a high reach or counterbalance truck.
• Experience with multiple types of MHE (order pickers reach trucks counterbalance) is a plus.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS is preferred.

Key Skills

• Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Operating MHE and using an RF scanner.
• Reading and interpreting distribution documents in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic analytical organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vision correctable to 20/40 in each eye and hearing sufficient to operate MHE safely.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs in some areas.
