A-1 Industries is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Night Shift team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement loading unloading storage and transportation of lumber truss packages and materials throughout the manufacturing yard.This position plays a critical role in supporting production and delivery operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be forklift certified capable of working independently and committed to quality safety and productivity.
Essential duties:
- Perform all assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct daily and routine maintenance inspections of equipment as required by the forklift manufacturer and OSHA regulations.
- Safely operate lb. rated all-terrain forklifts.
- Load unload ship and receive materials and products.
- Stack and organize truss bundles into packages for delivery.
- Secure truss packages to delivery trailers prior to transportation.
- Report product damage equipment damage quality concerns or missing materials to the direct supervisor.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Follow all company safety policies procedures and practices to prevent injury to self and others.
- Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean organized and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements
- Forklift Certification required.
- Ability to safely operate large-capacity all-terrain forklifts.
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Employees are required to wear appropriate safety attire at all times including:
- Steel-toe or composite-toe footwear
- Safety glasses
- Company-issued uniform shirts
- Any additional PPE required by company policy
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in an outdoor manufacturing yard environment. Employees will be exposed to varying weather conditions including heat cold rain and humidity. The work environment may also include exposure to loud noise levels from manufacturing equipment and vehicle traffic.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position the employee will:
- Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
- Regularly use hands to handle grasp and operate equipment.
- Frequently bend reach climb and move throughout the yard.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Possess close vision depth perception and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships accurately.
- Regularly communicate and hear in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule: MondayFriday 5:30 AM - 3 PM Saturdays
