Role Overview
This position is dedicated to the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse and production environments. The primary objective is to ensure the seamless flow of materials from receiving to staging supporting overall operational productivity while strictly adhering to all established safety protocols and inventory management standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely maneuver sit-down forklifts to transport materials and supplies with precision.
- Manage the loading and unloading of delivery doors ensuring all items are handled correctly.
- Relocate products across various warehouse zones and production floors to meet operational needs.
- Organize and stage materials efficiently to support continuous production line activities.
- Uphold precise inventory control and maintain a highly organized workspace.
- Conduct thorough daily safety and operational inspections of all forklift equipment.
- Comply rigorously with all company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated ability to handle materials loads and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and organizational best practices.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and conducting routine equipment checks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sit-down forklift experience (required)
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work occasional weekends
Required Skills:
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Capability to lift and move heavy boxes and products safely. Proficiency in performing physical tasks such as bending stooping and reaching. Comfort working in cool or refrigerated environments. MUST BE BILINGUAL - SPEAK SPANISH
