Forklift Operator/Fabrication Shop Laborer (Forklift Experience Required)

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift within designated guidelines
• Load and unload materials from trucks
• Transport materials across the facility in a safe organized manner
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe operation
• Assist with general shop operations and maintenance tasks
• Maintain awareness and take action to prevent hazards
• Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance
• Building forms and bending rebar to specifications
• Shop yard maintenance
• Small equipment operations (Dozers and forklifts)

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE previous forklift experience
• Strong desire to learn new responsibilities and grow with the company
• Ability to work independently with a safety-focused attitude
• Reliable performance punctuality and attendance
• Ability to work overtime weekends and holidays when needed
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check

Work Environment:

• Exposure to machinery outdoor weather conditions and vibration
• Frequent wet or humid conditions; loud work environment
• Typical schedule:812 hour shifts57 days/weekduring peak season; occasional night work

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking standing sitting and reaching (waist to shoulder height)
• Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling5075 lbs
• Occasional bending kneeling crawling squatting climbing
• Ability to maintain required vision (close distance depth perception)
