Forklift Operator (Clamp or Barrel)

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a temporary-to-hire position in Chester VA. The successful candidate will specialize in operating forklifts equipped with clamp and barrel attachments to safely move stack and stage specialized inventory.

Position Details

• Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire
• Location: Chester VA
• Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday (Saturday overtime when needed)
• Payrate: $20.46/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Attachment Operation: Safely operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts using specialized roll clamps and barrel/drum clamps.
• Material Handling: Load unload move and stack cylindrical fragile or heavy non-palletized materials.
• Inventory Control: Verify product labels match inventory to shipping manifests and log data into the warehouse management system.
• Safety Compliance: Perform daily pre-operation equipment inspections report defects and maintain a clean organized workspace.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of forklift operation experience is strictly required.
• Specialized Skillset: Proven hands-on experience utilizing clamp and barrel attachments is mandatory.
• Location: Ability to reliably commute to our facility located in Chester VA.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs sit or stand for extended periods and work in varied warehouse temperatures.
