Position OverviewWe are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of forklift operator. Forklift operatorsare responsible foroptimizingloads to ensure operational efficiency scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs among other dutiesThis role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship orAn individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e. a Green Card holder) orAn individual who is granted status as a protected personForklift Operator Responsibilities:Loading and unloading materials in a manufacturing settingTransporting material scrap todesignatedlocation(s)Transporting materials todifferent locationswithin the facilityOptimizingloads to ensure operational efficiencySecuring loads to the machine before transportationInspecting for damages to vehiclesScheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairsPerform general clean-up tasks to keep work area clean and free of excess debrisOperating and managing technical equipmentIdentifyingworkplace safety hazardsAdhering to safety management standardsAdhering to production schedulesForklift Operator Requirements:High school diploma or GEDPreviousforklift experiencerequiredValid forklift certification (Accurus Provided)Excellent hand-eye coordinationMathematical aptitudeGood organizational skillsAttention to detailGood written and verbal communicationWorking Conditions:Work is performed in a combination of locations including office and the manufacturing shop environment where working conditions vary significantly; use of mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) isrequiredand may include eye and hand protection safety footwear and hearing protection.
