DESCRIPTION:
The Florida Physician Lead will help develop and support Rocket Doctors physician network and clinical operations in Florida.
Working closely with the U.S. Medical Director other Physician Leads and Rocket Doctors Provider Success Credentialing Operations and Product teams the Florida Physician Lead will:
- Help shape Rocket Doctors clinical launch strategy in Florida.
- Recruit and engage physicians interested in joining Rocket Doctor in Florida.
- Participate in physician recruitment informational and onboarding calls.
- Partner with Provider Success and Credentialing to monitor onboarding and identify barriers or delays.
- Help new physicians become familiar with Rocket Doctors clinical workflows EMR platform tools and support resources.
- Advise the team on Florida-specific clinical regulatory physician and patient-access considerations.
- Help identify physician availability and clinic-coverage needs as the market develops.
- Facilitate recurring Florida physician meetings as the physician network grows.
- Troubleshoot emerging challenges affecting physicians or patients in Florida.
- Participate in the biweekly U.S. Physician Leads meeting and collaborate on broader U.S. clinical initiatives.
- Contribute to physician resources clinical workflows platform improvements and strategic planning.
- Provide Florida-specific feedback to Rocket Doctors clinical and operational leadership.
The Physician Lead supports these activities in partnership with Rocket Doctors full-time teams and is not solely responsible for credentialing onboarding administration scheduling or day-to-day physician management.
DUTIES / REQUIREMENTS:
- Hold an active unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida and board certification in at least one U.S.-recognized medical specialty.
- Be in good standing with the Florida Board of Medicine or Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine as applicable.
- Demonstrate strong organization communication professionalism and sound judgment.
- Be comfortable working across clinical operational business and technology functions.
- Be familiar with electronic medical records virtual-care technology and U.S. privacy requirements including HIPAA.
- Be able to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with physicians patients and Rocket Doctor staff.
- Be proactive collaborative and solutions-oriented when addressing emerging challenges.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient physician and company information.
- Bring an understanding of Floridas healthcare environment and ideally an established professional network within the state.
Experience with telemedicine physician leadership Medicaid or Medicare populations healthcare operations clinical program development or early-stage healthcare organizations is preferred.
TIME COMMITMENT:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately four hours per week.
Much of the work can be completed asynchronously through Slack and email. However the role also includes regular synchronous commitments including:
- A biweekly U.S. Physician Leads meeting.
- Physician recruitment and onboarding calls.
- Florida launch-planning meetings.
- Occasional partner or operational calls.
- Recurring Florida physician meetings as the network develops.
Some meetings may occur during standard business hours. The current meeting cadence and timing will be reviewed during the interview process and confirmed before the candidate accepts the position.
WORK / TRAVEL:
- This is a remote position based in the United States. No routine travel is currently anticipated. The successful candidate must be able to perform the positions responsibilities with reasonable accommodation.
