Correcting minor vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments alignments and replacements at the direction of Management. Job Duties:Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections; oil changes; chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged to be performed both in shop and remotely to customer equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades as directed controlling corrosion and proper lubrication on each PM light repairs and vehicle deficiencies by removing repairing adjusting assembling disassembling components parts or to include lighting expendable equipment air and electrical vehicle performance by conducting test drives adjusting controls and tire repairs replacements rotations mounting and dismounting on and off from vehicles as with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine safety and combustion control vehicle appearance by cleaning washing and shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for costs by using warranty evaluating service and parts supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation all duties of lesser classification and other work-related duties as directed. Skills/Qualifications:High School Diploma or its equivalent requiredPost-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred2 years experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field preferredMust have valid Drivers License and the ability to obtain a CDL within 120 days of hireAbility to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areasCompany will provide a Basic Set of Hand Tools upon hire to use in this positionBasic Technical UnderstandingAbility to follow all written and oral instructions Attention to Detail Dependability Verbal Communication Documentation Skills Inventory Control Job KnowledgeAbility to implement and work in a strong safety environment at all timesAbility to work alone with little or no direction at timesPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesMust be able to pass post offer drug test and physical with lift testWho We Are:Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is a rapidly growing employee and customer focused company servicing the Commercial Truck Rental and Full-Service Lease markets.
