Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter / Welder to join our fabrication team. The Fitter / Welder will be responsible for fitting assembling and welding metal components according to drawings specifications and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints fabrication drawings and work instructions
• Fit align and assemble structural and fabricated metal components
• Perform MIG TIG and/or stick welding as required
• Measure mark cut and prepare materials for fabrication
• Use grinders cutting tools drills and other fabrication equipment
• Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment
• Inspect welds and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Make adjustments to ensure proper fit alignment and dimensions
• Perform basic welding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a fitter welder fabricator or similar manufacturing position preferred
• Experience with MIG TIG or stick welding
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Ability to use tape measures squares levels calipers and other measuring tools
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and welding processes
• Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials as required
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE
