Job Summary
General Purpose: Provide safe and effective training for GLOCK product users and prospective GLOCK usersShift(s) Available:8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through FridaySupervisory Responsibilities:None Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following: other duties may be assignedProvide maximum safety of students; heed all firearm safety rules at all timesMaintain proficiency in use and understanding of GLOCK firearms Provide classroom and range instruction using lesson plans visual aids demonstrations and practical application in accordance with the approved training program and/or verbal guidanceProvide Armorer and Firearms Instructor TrainingInstruct Armorers on how to best service and repair GLOCK pistols Show other Firearms Instructors the best techniques available to enable them to properly train GLOCK users under their charge Evaluate performance of class participantsAlways comply with established Quality and Safety StandardsRepresent GLOCK Professional a professional manner during training classes and other business functions to promote products and to provide technical supportSubmit weekly expense reports to the Accounting DepartmentAnalyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirementsTravel extensively by car and/or airplane and spend a minimum of 4 nights per week away from homeOther tasks may be assigned as Requirements:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee is required to use fingers and hands to shoot various firearms. The employee is regularly required to lift to 40 pounds and with the assistance of another person weights over 40 lbs. The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderately quiet to extremely loud. Personal safety protective equipment is required. The individual must be able to pass a shooting proficiency qualification test with the equipment provided at the time of the interview and Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures dirt dust fumes smoke and unpleasant odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Hearing protection and eye protection are required for all firing range activities.
