Candidates will gain valuable exposure to hydrostatic testing troubleshooting systems with a pressure gauge and working on a wide range of fire protection systems.
The Fire Sprinkler Technician is responsible for assisting with and performing the installation maintenance testing and repair of fire sprinkler systems throughout the Denver metropolitan area. Technicians will work alongside experienced professionals while gaining exposure to wet pipe dry pipe fire pump and special hazard systems. This role includes performing hydrostatic testing documenting pressure gauge readings and assisting with system commissioning and inspections.
- Install modify and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Cut thread groove and prepare pipe to specifications using saws threaders groovers and other industry tools.
- Assemble and secure piping fittings sprinkler heads hangers and related equipment according to plans and code requirements.
- Assist with inspections hydrostatic testing and system commissioning activities.
- Utilize a pressure gauge to verify system pressure and identify potential system deficiencies.
- Conduct and document hydrostatic testing in accordance with NFPA standards and project requirements.
- Record and maintain accurate pressure gauge readings for inspections testing and final acceptance documentation.
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and installation specifications.
- Participate in customer demonstrations and explain system functionality when needed.
- Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting using a pressure gauge and other testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation including work orders service reports hydrostatic testing reports and inspection records.
- Keep current with industry standards products and fire protection technologies.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable NFPA standards local codes and company safety policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively on customer job sites.
- Work safely at all times while promoting a culture of safety and quality craftsmanship.

- 1-3 years of experience installing or servicing fire sprinkler systems.
- Experience working in construction mechanical trades plumbing or fire protection is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of fire sprinkler components and installation methods.
- Familiarity with pressure gauge operation and interpretation is preferred.
- Experience assisting with hydrostatic testing of sprinkler systems is a plus.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the fire protection industry.
- NICET certification is preferred but not required
- Prioritizes tasks and manages workloads effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Identifies problems and assists in determining effective solutions including reviewing pressure gauge readings and system performance data.
- Demonstrates professionalism and responsiveness when interacting with customers and coworkers.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with supervisors team members and customers.
- Must be able to read write and speak English effectively.
- Arrives on time follows instructions and consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record required.
- NICET certification or progress toward certification is a plus but not required.
- Sprinkler License is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of hydrostatic testing procedures and experience using a pressure gauge is a plus.
