Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join a growing fire protection team serving customers throughout Reno and the surrounding Northern Nevada region.

This role is ideal for a sprinkler professional who enjoys working independently interacting with customers and ensuring fire protection systems remain compliant and operational. Responsibilities
  • Inspect commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and applicable state and local requirements
  • Test and evaluate sprinkler heads valves piping alarms and associated system components
  • Conduct water flow tests main drain tests and other required inspection procedures
  • Document deficiencies impairments and code-related concerns
  • Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs when appropriate
  • Complete accurate digital inspection reports and service documentation
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding inspection findings and system conditions
  • Maintain assigned equipment and company vehicle
  • Travel throughout Reno and the Northern Nevada service territory with occasional overnight stays


Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in fire protection fire sprinkler systems mechanical piping or a related life safety field
  • Nevada Fire Sprinkler License or the ability to obtain required licensing within a reasonable period
  • Current industry-recognized backflow certification
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire sprinkler inspection requirements
  • Ability to identify deficiencies and understand basic system operation and code compliance
  • Strong communication documentation and customer service skills
