Fire Sprinkler Inspector (SFSIPID)
Job Summary
A well-established fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler & Backflow Inspector to support commercial industrial and institutional customers throughout the region.
This field-based position combines fire sprinkler inspections backflow testing customer interaction and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is dependable safety-focused detail-oriented and comfortable working independently while delivering professional service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Inspect test and certify backflow prevention assemblies
- Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems
- Verify proper operation of valves sprinkler heads and related system components
- Identify and document system deficiencies
- Maintain compliance with applicable codes standards and safety requirements
- Clearly communicate inspection findings and recommendations to customers and internal team members
- Complete required inspection reports and field documentation accurately and on time
- Active Idaho Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification
- 2 years of fire sprinkler and/or backflow inspection experience
- NICET II or higher in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems preferred
- NFPA Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) is a plus
- Strong communication documentation and customer-service skills
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area including occasional overnight travel
