About the PositionWe are searching for a Fire Protection Engineering Intern/Co-Op to join our Professional Design team. This internship offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects for clients in industries such as industrial Department of Defense and commercial sectors. As an Intern/Co-Op you will work directly with fire protection engineers supporting various project tasks and gaining valuable hands-on role will primarily involve learning about fire protection building systems through the BIM software Revit and AutoCAD. These tools will allow you to visualize building designs in three dimensions and understand how each component of a building interacts with the others. You will also assist fire protection engineers with other tasks related to ongoing projects. If youre eager to jump-start your career in engineering and gain real-world experience from concept planning through construction documentation this internship is a great and QualificationsEngineering student at an ABET-accredited university on track for a bachelors degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection EngineeringCompleted 2 years of courseworkCreative adaptive and flexible with a strong interest in Fire Protection DesignA basic understanding of engineering principlesStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Revit is highly preferredPrior internship or related experience is highly considered
