The Fire Alarm Support Technician Test & Inspect supports licensed and experienced technicians in the inspection testing and documentation of fire alarm systems specifically within Test & Inspect operations. This role works under direct supervision of a technician(s).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist technicians with scheduled inspections and testing of fire alarm systems.

  • Support testing activities such as device activation alarm verification and system checks under supervision.

  • Help document inspection and testing results in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Identify and report visible deficiencies or irregularities to supervising technicians.

  • Assist with preparation of tools materials and documentation required for inspections.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of inspection forms and reports.

  • Follow all safety procedures NFPA guidelines and company policies.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.

  • Participate in on-the-job training to learn fire alarm codes standards and testing procedures.

  • Travel to job sites as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • No prior fire alarm or industry experience is required.

  • Strong willingness to learn inspection and testing procedures in the fire protection industry.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under direct supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety.

  • Must have a clean driving record and active drivers license (if driving role).


Other Duties:

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct Confidentiality Agreement and Company Safety Policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in commercial industrial and construction environments.

  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

  • Work is performed in occupied commercial buildings industrial facilities and construction sites.

  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights confined spaces and active job sites.

  • Use of basic hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
