Position Summary

The Financial Supervisor oversees the daily operations of PCIs business finance and accounting function supervises staff and manages assigned projects. This role ensures work is accurate timely and completed in accordance with company policies while providing leadership with clear financial information to support business decisions.

The position combines hands-on financial oversight with staff leadership workflow coordination and project management.

Essential Responsibilities

Daily Financial Operations

  • Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable accounts receivable billing reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
  • Assign priorities monitor workloads and ensure financial deadlines are met.
  • Review transactions and support documentation for accuracy completeness and appropriate approvals.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash activity receivables payables and other financial matters requiring leadership attention.

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise assigned staff establish expectations and provide regular coaching and feedback.
  • Distribute work based on business needs staff capacity and deadlines.
  • Train and cross-train employees to maintain reliable coverage and consistent procedures.
  • Address performance concerns in coordination with leadership and Human Resources.
  • Promote accountability collaboration and responsive service across departments.

Project Management and Process Improvement

  • Manage assigned financial and operational projects from planning through completion.
  • Establish project timelines responsibilities milestones and deliverables.
  • Track progress communicate updates and escalate issues that could affect deadlines or results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows strengthen controls and reduce errors.
  • Coordinate with other departments on projects involving financial systems reporting and administrative processes.

Reporting and Financial Controls

  • Prepare and review financial reports account analyses and budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Explain significant variances and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Support budgeting forecasting audits and requests from external accounting partners.
  • Maintain documented procedures appropriate segregation of duties and approval controls.
  • Protect confidential financial and employee information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least five years of progressive accounting or financial operations experience preferred including staff supervision or team leadership.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles reconciliations financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Experience coordinating projects managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently exercise sound judgment and collaborate across departments.
  • Compensation: Annual salary up to $95000 based on qualifications and relevant experience.
