Position Summary

The Financial Analyst serves as a business partner to manufacturing operations by providing financial analysis and insights that support operational decision-making cost optimization and continuous improvement. The role is focused on manufacturing cost analysis standard costing and performance reporting while supporting month-end close budgeting and forecasting activities. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with manufacturing data to influence operational decisions and improve business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing operations and plant leadership to analyze financial and operational performance identify cost reduction opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standard costs including annual cost rolls BOM and routing reviews and manufacturing overhead rate calculations.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances yields productivity and other operational metrics to identify root causes and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries reconciling accounts maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the integrity of manufacturing cost data.
  • Assist with plant budgeting and forecasting by updating cost assumptions analyzing financial performance and preparing actual versus budget/forecast variance reporting.
  • Support business initiatives by providing financial analysis for capital investments Lean projects process improvements and other operational decision-making.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Engineering or a related field.
  • 13 years of experience in financial analysis cost accounting operations finance or a related analytical role.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to investigate data identify trends and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong interest in manufacturing operations and the ability to partner with Operations to understand processes identify improvement opportunities and solve business problems.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing data including bills of materials (BOMs) routings inventory and production information preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with Operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work on-site at least three days per week.
