Purpose
This position serves as the primary financial business partner to the Plant Manager and Controller providing leadership and support for all cost accounting financial reporting and operational analysis activities. Responsibilities include preparing month-end journal entries performing financial reporting and analysis executing internal control testing and supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes. Success in this role requires a proactive solutions-oriented individual who can look beyond routine responsibilities to identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement while working effectively with moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
Take a lead role in the month-end close process by ensuring manufacturing variances are accurately analyzed properly recorded and clearly communicated to management.
Manage the financial oversight of capital projects by supporting project tracking spend analysis capital forecasting and accounting compliance ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with approved business plans throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop analyze and maintain the plants depreciation forecast ensuring timely and accurate reflection of capital investments asset disposals and depreciation expense. Develop and enhance financial and operational reporting tools that provide meaningful insights into the performance of the Harrison plant and support data-driven decision-making.
Lead the testing documentation and self-assessment of internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Analyze Harrison plant financial results against targets including approximately $80 million in annual spend and provide clear concise explanations of significant variances to management.
Establish maintain and provide ongoing financial oversight and support for the Harrison plant checkbook.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on standardizing accounting and finance workstreams resulting in increased efficiency reduced key-person dependency and enhanced organizational resilience.
Prepare review and upload plant journal entries while coordinating and supporting the completion of IRU reporting requirements across all assigned areas.
Clean up and review of outstanding and old invoices on the IRU to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage Mayer weight adjustments in collaboration with the Raw Material Lead to ensure inventory accuracy and proper financial reporting.
Participate in physical inventory counts and related audit activities to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of account reconciliations investigating and resolving reconciling items as necessary.
Lead the plant fixed asset review process ensuring asset records are accurate and that disposals transfers impairments and other adjustments are recorded in accordance with company policy.
Perform additional accounting financial analysis reporting and special project responsibilities as assigned.
Technical/Functional Skills
Microsoft Suitewith proficiency in Excel. SAP Maximo knowledge a plus.

Minimum Requirements
Associates degree in Accounting Finance or related with at least 2years experience in US GAAP accounting cost accounting and financial analysis.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related with no experience.
Preferred Requirements
Associates degree in Accounting Finance Math or Business with at least 4years experience in US GAAP accounting cost accounting and financial analysis.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Math or Business with at least 2 years experience in US GAAP accounting cost accounting and financial analysis.
