Key job responsibilities
- Analyze operational data to provide financial insights that optimize costs and drive business performance applying your understanding of Amazons financial processes and internal controls to existing products and tools.
- Develop and utilize AI-powered dashboards for anomaly detection and trend analysis transforming complex data into clear actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Partner with operations teams to validate business case assumptions track performance metrics and contribute to automated reporting systems that reduce manual work by 40-50%.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement improvements to remediate gaps ensuring reporting accuracy by diving deep into data discrepancies and executing fixes.
- Collaborate across finance operations supply chain and technology teams to develop standardized investment evaluation processes and financial playbooks that scale independently of building count.

A day in the life
Your day begins with analyzing operational data to identify cost optimization opportunities across the newly launching Regional Distribution Center (rDC) network. Youll spend time developing or refining AI-powered dashboards that automatically detect anomalies and visualize trends. Throughout the day youll partner with operations teams to validate business assumptions contribute to automated reporting systems and participate in cross-functional councils where youll provide financial perspectives on placement and quality strategy decisions. Youll balance your analytical work with collaborative sessions driving data quality improvements and system integration while validating productivity metrics.

About the team
Our team supports the rDC network playing a critical role as financial advocates and business partners. We design develop and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business. Team members partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance Operations Supply Chain Engineering and Technology.

- 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree

- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
