Finance Manager, Amazon Security Finance

Security is job zero at Amazon by which we mean its even more important than any number one priority. As a key strategic partner to senior Security leaders the Amazon Security Finance team plays a vital role in building a robust security culture.

Youll be a valuable member who uncovers critical trends refines forecasting accuracy and generates actionable insights to empower strategic decision-making. Youll also be a trusted advisor to senior leadership translating complex financial data into a compelling business narrative that drives informed security investments.


Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) team on business strategy fostering growth and development
- Lead planning processes providing financial expertise and driving impactful decisions
- Own third party (3P) software spending reporting across Amazon Security.
- Deliver regular weekly & monthly reporting that influences security investments and strategic direction
- Develop and maintain scalable financial models that empower informed planning accurate controllership and clear visibility into key business drivers.

- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support leaders in tackling business challenges and understanding the financial ramifications of decisions.

- Demonstrate the agility and resilience to excel in a fast-paced ambiguous environment consistently delivering impactful results.


About the team
Amazon Security Finance is a relatively new finance team supporting the consolidated security functions across Amazon. We have a unique opportunity to see across all segments build our own finance team and processes and work with amazing business partners whose #1 priority is securing Amazon customers partners services and employees.

- 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience

- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
