Job Summary
The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Academic General Faculty (AGF non-tenure track) appointment in Finance to begin Fall 2027. We seek to hire faculty who stand out with respect to teaching potential in all areas of study in finance. For the 2026-2027 academic year the Darden School is recruiting in the areas of Accounting Data Analytics and Decision Sciences; Finance; Leadership Organizational Behavior & Communications; Technology and Operations Management; Strategy Entrepreneurship & Ethics; and the Bodily Bicentennial Professorship in Analytics. Applicants must be capable of teaching in a student-centered environment that requires excellence in engaging students in a dynamic and unstructured setting as well as be able to develop curriculum materials for both internal and external use. AGF applicants are expected to bring something distinctive to the School such as outstanding teaching high visibility and effectiveness in working with practicing managers and executives or a particularly noteworthy research niche.
