SUMMARY
Assists the Finance Managers and Finance Director with the proper completion of paperwork associated with the purchase or lease of vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Utilizes a checklist to check through all paperwork associated with the purchase or lease of a vehicle.
- Annotates errors in paperwork and missing paperwork on the checklist and within the electronic records associated with the deal.
- Utilizes a system that allows the deals to be tracked.
- Verifies payoff information for trade-in vehicles.
- Contacts customers when needed to request required paperwork.
- Assists Business Office personnel in correcting errors on vehicle purchase paperwork.
- Interacts with representatives of lenders to assist lenders with receiving properly completed vehicle purchase paperwork.
- Insures there is an adequate supply of forms available for the finance departments use. Insures that finance closet is kept neat and well stocked.
- Answers customers phone inquiries. Assists customers with completing cancellation forms when required.
- Understands and complies with Federal State and local regulations that affect vehicle finance departments.
- Prepares reports on finance warranty and gap penetration.
- Maintains a professional appearance and work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Completion of a high school diploma or GED and at least one year experience working at a dealership in a similar position or in a dealership business office.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and understand business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers or lending institutions.
MATHAMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent. Ability to figure commission proportions and percentages. Ability to apply common mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
