Job Summary
Job Title: Finance and Development Coordinator FSLA Status: Non-Exempt/Part Time
Reports To: Chief Development Officer Pay Range: $22 to $28/hour

We offer comprehensive services for survivors including service-enriched housing nationally accredited child and family development programming and free counseling to anyone who has experienced domestic violence.
Position Summary:
House of Ruth seeks a detail-oriented and mission-driven Part-Time Finance and Development Coordinator to support the organizations financial operations and fundraising administration. This position serves as a critical link between the Finance and Development teams ensuring accurate donation processing financial reconciliation donor stewardship reporting and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative accounting and database management skills demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of donor confidentiality financial accuracy and customer service.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Donation Processing
- Process and record donations pledges recurring gifts matching gifts and in-kind contributions through multiple channels.
- Maintain accurate gift records in our CRM EveryAction. Ensure timely and accurate gift coding and data entry.
- Donor Stewardship & Relations Prepare and distribute donor acknowledgments tax receipts pledge reminders and other donor communications.
- Respond to donor inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure timely donor follow-up and exceptional service.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate donor records ensuring database integrity and confidentiality.
- Conduct routine audits and support data quality for campaigns events and fundraising initiatives.
- Generate fundraising reports donor summaries mailing lists dashboards and management reports.
- Support fundraising analysis and campaign performance tracking.
Finance & Accounting Support
- Record financial transactions and journal entries in QuickBooks.
- Process invoices vendor payments and client rent payments through .
- Prepare bank deposits remotely deposit checks and reconcile contributions with accounting records.
- Reconcile fundraising database activity with the general ledger.
- Maintain financial tracking reports and audit documentation.
- Assist with annual audits donor-related audit requests and other finance-related administrative functions.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration Nonprofit Management or a related field; Bachelors degree preferred.
- One to Two (2) years of experience in nonprofit finance accounting development operations donor services or related administrative support. Internships are applicable
- to the experience.
Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Must be fully vaccinated (including the booster)
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Experience with fundraising CRMs such as EveryAction Raisers Edge Bloomerang Salesforce NPSP or similar platforms.
- Experience with QuickBooks or related accounting software preferred.
- Ability to generate reports analyze data and maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising donor stewardship and charitable contribution regulations preferred.
