TheFinal Assembly Project Manager (Assistant to the Head of Production) provides administrative operational andcoordination support to ensure efficient management of rail production and maintenanceactivities. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day operations tracking performance coordinating communication and ensuring compliance with rail industry standards.
Key Activities
- Assist the Head of Production in coordinating daily rail production and maintenanceactivities.
- Follow up on action items deadlines and operational priorities.
- Support coordination between departments (engineering operations supply chainsafety).
- Manage calendars meetings and communications for the Head of Production.
- Prepare reports presentations and production performance summaries.
- Maintain accurate documentation records and production data.
- Organize operational reviews and production schedule.
- Collect and analyze production and maintenance data (e.g. fleet performance delaysavailability).
- Prepare dashboards and KPI reports.
- Help identify trends and highlight operational risks or inefficiencies.
- Act as a liaison between the Head of Production and internal teams.
- Ensure clear communication of production priorities and updates.
- Support escalation and resolution of operational issues.
- Assist in coordinating production improvement initiatives and maintenance projects.
- Track project timelines deliverables and milestones.
- Support implementation of new tools systems or rail technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Business Administration Operations ManagementEngineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation logistics or a manufacturingenvironment with preference for rail industry experience.
- Proven experience in administrative or coordinator roles supporting senior leadership.
- Exposure to and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within amanufacturing or operational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.)
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
