Job Summary
Field Technician III
We are looking to grow our current team with a Heavy Equipment Field Technician III. The ideal candidate will possess strong diesel engine hydraulic pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills attention to detail and a passion for working independently and autonomously.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines transmission systems hydraulic systems electrical systems and other components of drilling and heavy construction equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and urgent field repairs on assigned equipment.
- Interpret diagnostic test results to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Utilize technical manuals diagnostic equipment and other tools to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Diagnose diesel engines and supporting systems including starting charging sensor connector and wiring issues.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps valves cylinders hoses fittings leaks and
pressure-related issues. - Diagnose pneumatic and air-system concerns as well as draw works and winch-related operating
systems - Communicate equipment status repair needs parts requirements and operational blockers to leadership and the administrative team.

Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic preferably working with heavy oil field equipment.
- 10 years of experience is desired.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems diesel engines hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently manage time and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
- Ability to travel throughout Texas to worksites with overnight stays from 4 - 10 nights.
- Comfortable using a computer and completing accurate electronic work orders.
- Compressor and generator experience preferable
- Skidsteer backhoe and telehandler experience preferable
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week more when traveling
